Preparing your experience

There is a sense of community that forms naturally in a group class -people moving and breathing together, sharing an experience, often discovering that the person beside them is on a remarkably similar journey. The togetherness that comes from that is one of the less expected things guests tend to carry home from a stay here.

Twenty-two classes run across the adult week - from sunrise movement on the wellness plateau to sound meditation after dark. The schedule holds both the mornings that call for Yin Yoga and the afternoons that call for Boot Camp.

Children have their own programme running alongside - thirty-five sessions across the week, designed by age, with a Family slot every afternoon at four that brings everyone together.

We don't run on the clock

The classes rotate and the instructors sometimes change, but what stays steady is the structure of the day: a morning movement window, a midday stretch that anchors the schedule, an afternoon strength block, and an evening practice that brings everything to a close. Times are confirmed at the front desk on arrival and refreshed each morning.

The Adults Schedule

The adult day has six windows, each with its own intention. It opens with movement at sunrise, moves into aqua mid-morning, and settles into a stretch class at midday that runs every day without exception. The afternoon shifts to strength and high-intensity work, the early evening to breath and meditation, and the day closes with something quieter - candlelight meditation, a sleep class, or stargazing from the wellness plateau. Twenty-two classes rotate through these windows across the week.

Morning Movement

Mat Pilates · Morning Yoga Flow · Yin Yoga · Tai Chi

Sunrise window · Open studios

There is something particular about moving with other people before the day properly starts - a shared quiet, a collective intention that carries differently than a solo session. Four classes rotate through the sunrise window, from the stillness of Tai Chi to the steady work of Mat Pilates. The morning chooses which one it needs.

AQUA

Aqua with Pool Noodle · Aqua Hand Buoy · Aqua Boxing

Mid-morning · Pool house

Three sessions run across the week - Aqua Boxing, Aqua Hand Buoy, and Aqua with Pool Noodle - each working with water as resistance. Aqua Boxing is the most demanding of the three. The others are accessible at any fitness level and bring a shared lightness that tends to make these sessions one of the more enjoyable hours of the week.

STRETCH · EVERY DAY

Stretch Class · every day · midday

Midday anchor · Every day

The one fixed point in a week that moves around everything else. Every guest who has been on the property for more than two days tends to find their way here - it becomes a ritual rather than a class, a daily gathering in the middle of the day before everyone disperses to their afternoons.

Strength & HIIT

HIIT · TRX · Tabata Training · Circuit Training · Zumba · Step Aerobics · Boot Camp

Afternoon block · Active Courts

Seven classes across the week, and the most physically demanding window in the day. There is a particular energy to a group strength session - the collective effort, the shared intensity, the way a room full of people working toward the same thing carries everyone in it further than they would go alone. The instructor reads the room at the start and calibrates from there.

Breath & Meditation

Pranayama · Singing Bowl Meditation · Floating Meditation · Aerial Yoga

Early evening · Sound rooms · Studios

The shift between the active part of the day and its quieter close. Singing bowls sound different in a room full of people breathing slowly together than they do through headphones. Floating meditation and Pranayama carry the same quality - shared stillness amplifies rather than dilutes the individual experience. Aerial Yoga joins the rotation once in the week, for those who want the evening to be something unexpected.

Closing the Day

Candle-light Meditation · Better Sleep Class · Star Gazing

Night practice · Yasmeen Night Garden

Three sessions close the evening. The candlelight meditation and sleep class run twice each across the week - unhurried, quiet, designed to bring the nervous system down after everything the day asked of it. Stargazing on the Saudi Red Sea coast is worth doing at least once on any stay, ideally in the company of people who are equally unprepared for how many stars there actually are here.

The Adults Daily Activity Calendar runs twenty-two named classes across the week: yoga, tai chi, breath, meditation, dance, sound, somatic work and outdoor practice. Each class is open to retreat guests and residents.

For children

The Children's Schedule

Children have their own programme managed by our Family team with five daily slots, forty minutes each, across four age bands. Thirty-five sessions rotate across the week. Every afternoon at four o'clock, the calendar pauses on age bands and runs a Family session instead to bring together parents and children every day.

Ages 0–3

Seed Studio

Ages zero to three. Sessions here are parent-paired - sensory play, calm rhythms, gentle exploration of sound and texture. Nothing is structured for performance or measurable progress. It is structured for the particular closeness that happens when a parent and small children discover something together, quietly, without anywhere else to be.

Ages 4–8

Sprout Studio

Ages four to eight. Movement, music, and small-group exploration across the gardens, studios, and pool. Sessions rotate daily - a garden scavenger hunt one morning, yoga and animal poses the next, a sound circle after that. At this age, doing things alongside other children in a place this beautiful tends to land as pure adventure.

JSAMS_Family_Lifestyle_Beach_WhatTheFox-0173
Ages 9–12

Stem Lounge

Ages nine to twelve. Sessions here ask more of participants - rhythm mapping, badminton technique, nature relay challenges, dot painting, ocean-themed problem solving. The activities span physical, creative, cognitive, and environmental skills, and most of them are designed to work better with a group than they would alone. That is something children at this age tend to love the most.

JSAMS_Adult_Lifestyle_Nakeya_WhatTheFox-0006
Ages 13+

Bloom or Blossom Lounge

Ages thirteen and up. Longer-format sessions that ask more of our older children - a kintsugi mindset workshop on resilience, eco house design using recycled materials, underwater memory challenges, strategy-based treasure hunts. Studio space and VR treadmills sit alongside the outdoor programme. Teens who expect to be bored here tend to be surprised!

JSAMS_Family_Lifestyle_Beach_WhatTheFox-0263
UNIVERSAL · 16:00–17:00

Family Slot

Every day at four, the age bands dissolve and the whole family does something together. Mindful balance relays, rhythm rituals, kindness games, family mini-Olympics - forty minutes where the point is connection rather than instruction. Worth noting children will almost certainly outperform the adults and seem to find this enormously satisfying!
