Overview
As a FLOW
The body at its best has a specific feeling. Most people who arrive for As a Flow know exactly what that feeling is - and know they have been away from it.
The reasons vary. Too much load. Not enough movement. An injury that changed the way everything else works.
The belief does not vary. The body wants to move well. As a Flow gives it the structure to get there.
Athletic Wellness Retreat at Jayasom AMAALA
Featured Treatments
Six treatments hold the As a Flow week, working across active recovery, mobility, and rebuilding. Each one sequenced by your Wellness Advisor against the intake assessment.
Muscle Recovery Ritual
For the muscles that have been asked to do too much for too long. Deep-seated tension and metabolic waste, worked out methodically. The practitioner reads the intake first.
Therapeutic Lymphatic Drainage
The body's fluid management, supported. Particularly useful for athletes whose load has not been clearing between sessions. Light hands-on work that opens what has been blocked.
Neurac® Method (Neuromuscular Activation)
For movement that has become guarded. Sling-based neuromuscular re-education - retraining the body to move without the compensations that pain and injury build in over time.
Gyrotonic®
The spine and limbs moving in three dimensions at once. Flexibility and mobility building alongside strength. For the body that has been strong in a narrow range and needs to find length again.
Watsu
Recovery in warm water. The therapist moves the body through stretches and mobilisations it could not achieve on dry land. For joints that hold tension, or movement that has become restricted.
Cryotherapy
Brief, bracing, and deliberate. Whole-body cold exposure that triggers the body's anti-inflammatory response. The body does the work - the cold gives it the signal.
OVERVIEW
An Active Way to Recover
The As a Flow retreat is set around what the body needs to do across the stay. The retreat is for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Guests carrying chronic pain or injuries who need guidance on posture, soft-tissue mobilisation, or rehabilitation. People rebuilding from a long stretch of sedentary work.
The methodology your Wellness Advisor draws on names three goals for the work:
Three goals
- Improve fitness or sporting performance.
- Promote rehab from prior injury.
- Explore new activities for the first time that may turn out to be your new favourite.
Your Advisor weighs all three against what arrives on the day, and the programme settles around the one that matters most. The methodology rests on the Wellness Wisdom® pillar that runs through every Jayasom programme: traditional wisdom met by contemporary practice, with Traditional Arabic Medicine integrated alongside sport science, physiotherapy, and the daily clinical work of the Health and Wellness Centre. The work is precise, measurable, and answerable to the body in front of us.
The eleven o'clock Stretch Class anchors the morning, the four o'clock high-intensity block defines the afternoon, and recovery work threads between.
Daily rhythm
Your Days at As a Flow
The intake conversation usually runs over an hour. What you say on that first morning shapes the volume the practitioner builds for the days that follow. A typical day begins with a movement class at seven - Mat Pilates, Yoga Flow, Yin, or Tai Chi depending on the day. Stretch at eleven. Lunch at Sarato, Jiraka, or Chia Bite followed by a treatment in the afternoon.
Aqua classes run in the cool of the mineral pool at ten o'clock daily. Pool Noodle, Hand Buoy, and Boxing variants rotate so the body works without the joint load of the studio floor.
By six the body wants stillness. The six o'clock reflective slot offers Pranayama, Singing Bowl Meditation, Floating Meditation, or Aerial Yoga. The hydrothermal circuit runs alongside through the evening: infrared sauna, waterfall bathing, Kneipp walking, vitality pools at varying temperatures, steam, Rasul ritual, flotation pool. Use any sequence the body wants. Dinner runs at Saratô or at Jiraka (beef-free, the spice-route specialty kitchen); the kitchen minimises gluten, refined sugars, salt, and coffee, and reaches first for what the Farm Belt grows. The eight o'clock evening slot holds Better Sleep Class, Star Gazing, or Candlelight Meditation.
Three meals each day from the kitchen, beginning with dinner on arrival. The room is set up around your stated preferences: aroma options of Calming Lavender or Spirited Rosemary, a chosen pillow from the seven on the menu, a Coco-mat™ natural mattress.
The setting
The Setting at AMAALA
Jayasom AMAALA sits on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, within the Triple Bay master plan being developed by Red Sea Global. The coast holds a year-round outdoor training climate. Saudi Arabia's eVisa programme opens guest entry across a wide range of markets. Buildings recede in the right places and sit low against the coastline; sea breeze moves before mechanical cooling; materials are local where the climate allows them.
For As a Flow guests, the relevant zone is Jayana, the adults retreat area at the southern end of Triple Bay. Movement studios sit within the adult-side wellness building. Mineral and vitality pools support aqua classes and active recovery. The hydrothermal circuit threads infrared sauna, waterfall bathing, Kneipp walking, vitality pools at varying temperatures and mineral compositions, steam, Rasul rituals, and a flotation pool through one progressive sequence.
Outdoor work runs from the Beach Hut on the cove: kayaking, paddleboarding, swim conditioning, and water-borne mobility work between training blocks. The Corallium and the Red Sea reefs sit beyond the Beach Hut for guests adding marine activity. The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve carries hiking and trail running for guests adding distance.
The Jayana adult-side gardens thread through the property and earn their place in the recovery arc. Yasmeen Night Garden, named for the jasmine that opens after dark, sits at the foot of the Wellness Plateau and reads as a wind-down room after the four o'clock conditioning slot. The Wellness Plateau itself is reached by a winding path; the climb tightens the calves and opens the chest, which most athletic guests find a useful evening rebound from a heavy training day. The Stonecrop Maze sits at the plateau's centre, with slow-walking discipline that holds for active recovery work between studio sessions. Phoenix Garden, near Saratô, is an open-air Phoenix dactylifera plantation reservable for evening meals.
The standard accommodation is the One-Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa: sixty-two square metres indoor and forty-eight square metres outdoor, balcony, lounge chairs, plunge pool, Coco-mat™ natural mattress, Oud-custom amenities. Two-bedroom and three-bedroom pool villas are available; over-water villas face the bay for guests on longer stays. Each room is set up around stated preferences: aroma options (Calming Lavender or Spirited Rosemary), pillow choice from the seven on the menu, and the room held to the property's temperature standard.
Sixty villas plus twenty-four private residences hold the property. Phase one is a small property by destination-resort scale, and the design is for it to stay that way; the daily wellness rhythm is sized to the cohort

Sessions and Rituals for Active Recovery
Across the As a Flow retreat, several treatments and sessions are reserved for athletes, active guests, and those rebuilding after injury. The body that arrives, the goals from the arrival conversation, and the tier you choose all shape which surface across the stay.
Boot Camp, Pilates, and Yoga thread through every tier. Postural Corrective Therapy and the daily Daily Treatment hold across every tier.
Seven-night Absorb stays add Personal Training, Aqua classes, Super Stretch, and Boxing. The Wellness Advisor weighs each against the load the week is carrying. A Cooking class with the Nakeha Studio chef threads through; the kitchen's research on which foods support which conditions runs continuously, and the class is the way that work meets the guest.
Ten-night Immerse stays bring Therapeutic Lymphatic Drainage and Cryotherapy into the recovery arc. Pranayama adds to the breath-led work, and one Restorative Treatment (the Muscle Recovery Ritual) threads through.
Fourteen-night Commit stays open the rehabilitation depth: Watsu, Gyrotonic®, Neurac® Method, and physiotherapy. Two Restorative Treatments thread through. Practitioner relationships build across the stay; the closing conversation reads the work back across the fortnight.
The eleven o'clock Stretch Class holds the property's morning anchor across every tier and every day.
In residence
Practitioners in Residence
Wellness Advisors hold the As a Flow programme. Each Advisor combines a clinical background with a sports or movement specialism, and a small caseload at any one time so the programme is set, not delivered. The Advisor meets you on arrival, walks the brief through the days that follow, revisits the work at the closing conversation, and remains reachable after you leave.
Visiting Practitioners arrive at Jayasom in residence, for weeks at a time, drawn from a roster of clinical and movement specialists. Each is chosen for the depth of practice they carry. The teaching that arrives with a Visiting Practitioner stays with the resident team once they have left.
The resident team holds the daily work alongside. Mohammad Almslmany leads the rehabilitation programme as Physiotherapist; his practice integrates evidence-based physiotherapy with fitness and mobility training, anchored in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Myofascial Needling Therapy, and ISSA Personal Training certifications, and a belief that recovery is strengthened by trust and conversation alongside the physical work. Fitness specialists run the group-class roster and the one-to-one Personal Training. Recovery technicians manage the hydrothermal circuit, the cryotherapy chamber, and the active-recovery infrastructure.
SPORTS NUTRITION
Wellness Through Nutrition
Sports nutrition sits at the centre of the work. The bespoke Sports Nutrition Specialist Consultation (50 min, all tiers) opens the relationship; from there, the Health and Wellness Advisors guide menu selection across three healing-menu programmes that support the athletic recovery cycle.
NEURO NOURISH
Support cognitive performance during heavy training cycles. Nutrition that defers focus, memory, and mood; omega-3s, antioxidants, and adaptogens supporting mental clarity alongside physical recovery.
Key ingredients: blueberry, walnut, matcha, cacao.
GUT HEALING AND CLEANSING
Supports guest rebuilding after injury or sustained training load. Nutrition, fibre, and anti-inflammatory food restore balance.
Key ingredients: kefir, chia seeds, fermented vegetables, turmeric, flax seeds.
WOMEN'S HORMONAL HEALTH
Available across no kitchen for guests where hormonal balance sits in the phase, more rich in healthy fats, proteins, and key micronutrient support overall vitality.
Key ingredients: macro roots, avocado, pumpkin seed, flax seeds, green tea.
The culinary team crafts three-day healing menus across the stay, blending nutritional science with culinary work. Your Wellness Advisor surfaces the programme that matches what the body needs.

Beyond the Stay
On the closing morning your Wellness Advisor writes a one-page brief: the training protocol, the mobility programme, the recovery practices calibrated to the home environment. The work does not end at checkout, it continues on as you return home.

DAY BY DAY
A typical seven-night family stay
Most guests arrive carrying a load. The week takes that as the starting point. Days build around the body's recovery curve, not a fixed grid. Some sessions move with you, some are placed where the practitioner thinks they'll matter most. What doesn't move: Stretch Class at eleven, the conditioning slot at four, the hydrothermal circuit whenever you want it. Treatment counts depend on how long you stay. Eleven at four nights. Eighteen at seven. Twenty-six at ten. Thirty-five at fourteen, and the rehabilitation work going deeper across the fortnight.
