Marma Point Therapy

The hundred and seven points the texts hold sacred.

Marma Point Therapy is an Ayurvedic session that works one hundred and seven points across the body. The Sanskrit texts describe these as junctions where matter and consciousness meet. The practitioner moves through the points with measured pressure, oil and slow rhythm; the work releases held charge along the energy channels Ayurveda calls nadis.

DESCRIPTION

What Marma Point Therapy is

WHAT IT IS

The 107 marma points are mapped across the limbs, torso, neck and head. Each is a confluence of muscle, vein, ligament, bone or joint with what the texts describe as a node of life energy. The practitioner reads where charge has built; the session works those points with circular pressure, warm oil and silence.

WHY

Marma work is used where ordinary massage cannot reach. The points sit at the meeting of the physical and the energetic; activating them is read in Ayurveda as restoring flow rather than treating a muscle. Guests who carry old injuries, post-surgical guarding or long-running emotional charge often find the session reaches what other bodywork has missed.

MAPPED POINTS ACROSS THE BODY

HOW IT FEELS

The pressure is firm but not deep. The room is quiet; the work is precise rather than flowing. Some points feel sharp on first contact, then soften; some go warm; some bring an unexpected breath. Most guests are quieter for the rest of the day after a Marma session.

Method

How the session works

Therapeutic Pillar: Ayurveda, body-mind-spirit axis. The practitioner maps the 107 points by lineage; not every point is worked in every session. Pressure, sequence and oil selection are calibrated to the guest's constitution and the brief. The session is precise rather than flowing; expect stillness, not continuous movement.

OUTCOMES

What guests notice afterwards

AFTER THE SESSION
  • Old guarding patterns released around prior injuries
  • A nervous system that lands lower than ordinary massage takes it
  • Sleep that goes deeper for the next two nights
  • A clearer sense of where the body holds load
  • Better range through joints that have stiffened with age or strain

Who delivers the session

The Marma practitioner trains in lineage rather than course; the 107 points are taught hand to hand. The same practitioner who reads constitution at the brief delivers the session, which means the pressure pattern picks up small signals that an unfamiliar therapist would miss. Guests on a longer stay see them more than once.
